“so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:12-13)
Sunday Morning Bible Study (9:15)
Our Sunday morning Bible study group includes folks who’ve read the Bible cover to cover and those who’ve never cracked the spine!
We get together and read select portions on a schedule to deepen our understanding in a friendly, conversational environment over coffee and pastries. We use various approaches (Essential 100, New Testament for Everyone) and at times we pause our scripture study to read a short book together (CS Lewis’ Screwtape Letters). Come join us some time at 9:15 on Sunday mornings in the parish hall.
Wednesdays at St. Mary’s (5:30pm)
During Advent we will have our Wednesday services and simple suppers! All Wednesday programs begin at 5:30. Come quiet your heart and mind to welcome the Christ-child!
Mid-Week Communion & Healing Prayer
Many times through the year, short communion services are offered in the chapel to celebrate many of the saints days on the calendar. These are anounced in our newsletter and usually are held on Wednesdays at 12:15. We often include healing prayer, anointing, and laying on of hands for those that desire it. Scripture teachs us that Christ came to bring us healing in body, mind, and spirit — and so we pray for that healing. Father Cal is a member of the Order of St. Luke, an ecumenical group committed to the ministry of healing prayer. Check our their webpage: http://www.orderofstluke.org/
The Society of Mary is one of the devotional societies of Anglicanism. Founded in the 19th century, the society is dedicated to the Glory of God and the Incarnation of Christ — God didn’t stay at a polite distance from us, but rather entered into all the messiness of our lives. Scripture tells us that Mary is full of grace and was chosen by God to be the vessel through which God himself entered his own wounded creation. All are welcome to join Father Cal in the Chapel on Wednesdays at 5pm for the rosary combined with intercessory prayer for our community and for those who are sick in body, mind, or spirit.
